Matildoutz, co-founder of Crépite Collective, moves through a deep corner of the electronic spectrum, from Downtempo to Minimal Techno and the spaces in between. Her sound is unpredictable: groove, texture and a slow-burning quality that pulls you somewhere harder to name. Genre boundaries are more like suggestions. The same signature runs through every set: an unhurried beat, far from the obvious, the kind that takes hold before you've noticed you've left. She co-founded Crépite out of a shared love of downtempo, a label that has broadened its sound over six years as each member's influences pushed it further. Known for collaborating with the very artists they were listening to long before becoming a label, its showcases now travel across Europe: La Nature festival, the Rêve Général collective at Isis Garden, and Kauz in Zurich. She has played across Europe: Fusion, Château Perché, Moyn, Bucht der Träumer, Garbicz, Katerblau in Berlin, Cabaret Sauvage in Paris with Horde, Lush.Play in Zurich. Closer to home, she plays with La Glitzer, her Marseille crew, and Microclimat, a French collective of all-terrain instigators. Less is more, and always, whatever the tempo, something underneath that quietly refuses to let go. Her sets are a space where time and matter catch their breath.
